The International Shiloh Shepherd Alliance(ISSA) is dedicated to identifying and eradicating German Shepherd Inherited Ventricular Arrhythmia (GSDIVA). There are no outward symptoms of GSDIVA. Occasionally the first and only indication of the disease is the sudden death of a seemingly normal puppy. Detecting those puppies affected will help us to build research that may help us to glean more understanding about GSDIVA. We mandate that our puppies be holtered between the ages of 5.5 and 8 months of age. Thank you for your interest in holtering your puppy.
The ISSA is her to help and assist you through the process of obtaining the equipment at a reduced cost. The rental period is 10 days with extra days allowed for multiple dogs if arranged in advance.
Fees will be invoiced to the client and once received then holter will be sent to location provided on request form.

Rental Terms:
All Fees are in US funds and must be paid in advance, Rental is for use of the holter for 10 days
The fee will include rental of all equipment (holter monitor, leads, electrodes, vest, Velcro strap, sd card, card reader, and pouch to hold monitor). Renters agree to return equipment loaned to them in the same condition as the received it. The package should be properly insured for full price of $1450 US. Damaged equipment will be the responsibility of the renter, and they will be invoiced for expenses incurred.
Late fee of $5/day will be assessed upon return of holter
Holter testing requirements:
Renters agree to the following :
- The dog should be supervised constantly during the 24 hours
- They are allowed to perform normal daily activities ; but do not let your dog into your yard unsupervised or leave the house with them left alone
- Do not allow dog to wear holter monitor and vest outside if it is raining/snowing/ or hailing
- Check frequently for loose wires that can potentially be chewed and attempt to use straps and vest to cover avoid allowing the dog access to the equipment

PAYMENT
All rental invoices need to be paid-in-full PRIOR to equipment shipping. Payment is to be made through PayPal to the International Shiloh Shepherd Alliance. Upon submitting your Holter Request, you will be invoiced through PayPal. You will be contacted and the equipment will be shipped to you upon receipt of the completed contract and payment.
